Jesus' earthly mother is descended from the line of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Judah all the way down to King David etc. and his earthly step-father, Joseph is also descended from the same line, so he truly is the son of man as well as the Son of God.

Son of Man is a Hebrew interpretation of Son of Adam..Also there are 2 versions of this...A son of man and THE son of man...based on the Hebrew text. So it depends on which angle you are looking at. A son of man has been referred to those prophets whom God has called such as Ezekiel (EZk21:, 22:1) and Daniel(7:13) out of the crowd of the chosen people.
Messages in the old testament are a hint of what is going to happen in the new testament . So in the NT, the reverse is happening. God is sending someone to the people through the lineage of one of his chosen race and that person who is Jesus is commissioned to do a special task and that is his only mission. To fulfil that mission and then return back to God...and no other sideline business as indicated in the Da Vinci code!! So he came from the lineage of David (Man) by the miracle of the incarnation and notice that he has been set apart to do God's mission, if you read on about his life, it will tell you that he is THE SON of Man, the one and only person who came to dwell and experience human suffering and what they are going through and to find a solution to all their problems by teaching them a different way of life. He is the human person of God coming to us to show us a way of life and be reconnected back to God. Hope this helps.....

Why is it that people always have to analyze and dissect every word in the Bible. Maybe start reading it from start to finish. Then all these lame questions will not be necessary. Maybe that will work for you, as every one out there interpret the written word in a different way.

god created man in his own immage. he fathered Jesus through Marry. although he is the sun of god he is technically the son of all humanity.

Im not a christian but I would guess he means that since God made man in God's own image, that "Man" and not "man" refers to God or to all humanity
