Are you implying there's some sort of coverup?
Pretty self evident stuff: Hezbollah, which has vowed to wipe Israel off the face of the earth, kidnapped some Israeli soldiers and started lobbing shells (they got from Iran via Syria) into north Israel. Israel struck back. Lebanon claims to be innocent bystander in all this, but they have harbored Hezbollah even though they agreed not to in 2000 agreement with Israel.
I guess the only secret is that, despite all the calls for ceasefire, every country involved knows that Israel's only chance for peace is to keep attacking until they weaken Hezbollah enough for the UN and Lebanon to kick them out of southern Lebanon.

Hey,i just watched the video above...What the guy is saying is truth, this war is much older than 4 weeks...
I understand if Hezbollah fighters wanted to get back Lebanon political prisoners from times of illegal Israel occupation.
But do they really?...If so why did they choose this kind of tactic?
Why didn't they try to accomplish this peacefully through politics as the reporter had questioned?Wouldn't that create a better of chance in getting their message through?
And if Hezbollah cares so much about the people in Lebanon why do they hide among civilians and therefor put them in great danger?
Is this really a way to stop bloodshed and injustice or is it just way how to weaken Israel and distract rest of the world from Iran nuclear plans? Do they want peace or destruction of Israel?

The truth has nothing to do with who's right or who's wrong. Both Israel and Hezbollah have their motives whether hidden or obvious, and political, religious, or economical. The war is between Hezbollah and Israel because, these are the onlyh two parties using military force in the conflict. Objective explanations of the war are hard to come by, but one could summarize the war as irrational. Both sides have much to lose and little to gain from the conflict, and pride and stubborness seem to be the main themes of the war. Much of the News coverage is simply a dispute of Christains vs. Muslims, Doves vs. Hawks, Jews vs. Muslims, Conservatives vs. Liberals, Party vs. Party, East vs. West, and so on. The reality for the people directly affected by the war is hardly philosophical, and outside opinion, up to this point, has little
consequence on the war. Israel is not fighting for its safety, and Hezbollah is not fighting for the independence of Lebanon. Anyone who tells you differently is full of B.S.! This war like most wars is a childish political squabble. That's it! The only losses in the war are the lives of innocent people with no say in the conflict.

Hezbollah fighters kidnapped two Israeli soldiers, when Israeli soldiers went to get them they were met with military style tactics and weapons. The Lebanese police didn’t arrest the kidnappers and they didn’t evacuate the citizens from a danger zone.
The Israelis were forced to try and get their soldiers back. When Israeli soldiers attempted this Hezbollah fighters used rockets and automatic weapons to keep the kidnapped soldiers. Several Israeli soldiers were killed in the attempt.
The wide spread fighting with the Hezbollah fighters makes them accessories to kidnapping and guilty of murder. The vast numbers of fighters should make this organized crime.
With the failure of the Lebanese police at both levels, the Israelis must do what is required to get their people returned. Military style tactics require military action to get this done. With the failure of the Lebanese police to get their people to safety, Israel can’t allow the citizens to deter them from bringing the criminals to justice.
Organized crime of this magnitude can’t be allowed to escape punishment. The Israelis must use any and all methods to bring organized crime to justice, the numbers of criminals and the firepower they have makes military action of any level to get the job done necessary. Hezbollah has a member holding the position of Speaker of the Parliament an elected position voted on by the Parliament. This must therefore be considered as a government sponsored action and any action by Israel needed to bring justice is warranted.
Hezbollah should have caught the kidnappers and sentenced them to justice. The failure of Hezbollah to capture the kidnappers and the killing of Israelis makes all the Hezbollah fighters accessories to kidnapping and guilty of murder. The shear level of the numbers of criminals, should have brought outside aide to Israel in the suppression of the Hezbollah organized crime criminals.
The failure of the worlds leaders is to their eternal shame, and that the whole world shall have to bear. Our world leaders have become cowards and not able to deal with a large organized crime syndicate. The Israelis are left to do what ever is required to bring all the criminals to justice.
Had this accrued in the US and Hezbollah hid in a neighborhood, then used rockets and automatic weapons on the same scale. The US military would level all the buildings occupied by Hezbollah and bring down the buildings with the criminals inside. As soon as the police had evacuated the citizens who were in danger.
Israel is doing no different, the law is the law and the organized crime syndicate known as Hezbollah must be brought to justice, no matter the cost. The law is clear and must be enforced.

Yes, I recently learned. I find it quite overwhelming and hard to swallow!
I thought we were fighting our war because the terrorists hate freedom. Then I found out that's not why were there at all. Sick!
