Maier's seedless Italian bread. best store bought loaf for consistent softness and quality for PBJ
Smucker's Grape Jelly, squeezable. For me, it's gotta be grape, and the smoother the layer, the better. I may do something different on a whim, but grape is classic.
JIF, I am not as picky about this, but we go through peanut butter like mad at our house, and this is the best brand that any of the wholesale clubs carry. I used to like Peter Pan, but Jif is the thing now, and it should be smooth. I like crunchy now and then, but again, smoothness of the ingredient layers is key.
Preparation: Apply pressure to the the two slices of bread together. Cut the sandwich in half, then into quarters.
