I think the bag is too good for school. I feel close to just thin line that she wants to carry her books in her hands. I live in Detroit and you might want to carry a brief case style. I felt smart in High School and my locker was not getting broken into for the stuff I put in it. Baby Phat is a designer and we are back to uniforms so the Designer Sign some kids really cant afford.
It goes against to code of trying to learn and not get jacked in the process by those who cant afford one. I could be wrong...

Okayyyy........wow, what a difference. She won't be cool or accepted or popular though, just so you know. Cool people don't have backpacks or whatever you call that. Girls have purses and carry the books with their hands. Guys do too (except for the purse part). Normal people wear backpacks. You will only look cool if you have a Chanel, or a Dolce & Gabanna backpack. Gucci is also good.

Heavy packs are not good for the spine.
Preferred is to get those with wheels but she might not consider it stylish enoough.
Does the school have ready accessible lockers for the students? If so, maybe she can get away from having to carry so much learning material around from class to class. Don't leave anything too valuable in the lockers though.

I never carry a backpack. maybe once or twice if it goes with an outfit. I use a tote bag. Not those canvas ones from trader joe's. Oversized bags are in now, a structured oversized bag will hold your folders and it'll look cute.

That thing looks pretty flimsy. It might not be able to handle 10 pound textbooks for 9 months in a row.

if she wants to cary her heavy books in her arms, then yes. I've used a backpack throughout Highschool and Its easier for crowded hallways then a small pack and an armload of books

Well that depends, is she gonna have books?
At my high school we didnt take our books out of the classroom, so we didnt need backpacks that were able to hold them.

Not even remotely!
There are gonna be a lot more books, binders and P.E. gear than that flimsy thing can handle.
