I have horrible back pain with this baby, and have resorted to using thermacare pad on the small of my back. It is safer than using a heating pad and there was no warning on anything about pregnancy in the package instructions. Thanks!

According to the manufacturer, you should consult with your doctor if you are pregnant and experiencing pain and intend to use any pain relief products, including ThermaCare. Your doctor will be able to advise you on your specific circumstance, and determine whether ThermaCare is right for you at this time.

well actually a heating pad is safe to use during pregnancy in short durations..i have slipped disks in my back and have 3 kids, i used the thermacare and a heating pad..and the doc said the thermacare was safe because it didn't elevate your body temp. to much.

if there is no warning i would say yes go ahead but call your ob/gyn anyway, a safer way too is go in the shower and let the hot water run down the small of your back for 15 minutes

Had identical problem! yes, very safe, but not necessary to use for more than 20 mins. maybe 3 x a day. It helps but the relief is usually temporary. Usually the problem goes away after the first few months tho.

Therma care has no medication in it.. It should be safe for you to use just watch so that it does not get too hot. You have to watch your body temp. when you are pregnant and I'm sure you know that already.
It would be best to at least tell your Dr. that you are using this.
Congrats!

You should ask a doctor or a pharmacist. If you call any of your local drugstores, the pharmacist will be happy to answer that question. ;)

Good luck to you!
