Name for me one war since the 1800's that has been fought over religious differences. People say that God or Allah is on their side when they do something, but the war is always for other reasons.
Do you think any Islamic terrorists kll Israelis because they have different religions? Or is it that other small fact that the Israelis violently kicked them out of their own country in 1948?
Do Islamists hate America because we pray to a different God, or because we buy the bombs for Israel that kill Palestinians, take their natural resources and occupy their countries?
The fact of the matter is that, when two cultures or countries fight
they oftentimes have different religions. When they are looking for absolute justification of their cause they often say that God is on their side, or they denounce the other culture's ultimate belifs, such as religion.

English/Irish conflict...Protestants vs. Catholics, right? Or once again, is it the fact that England was simply expanding her empire and invaded Ireland. I would say that England wanted Ireland's tax dollars and resources, and they just happened to be Catholics.

France vs. Algeria...France was expanding its empire. You think the French decided that Algeria shouldn't be pagan, so they invaded them, or that they were expanding their empire like all the other European powers of the time?

Coragryph-Yes, that is what I'm saying. Take away some other reason for one country invaing anothe, and there is no way one country honestly would have gone to another country to kll a whole bunch of people.

Go back a little farther than the 1800's. You'l find Expansionism and those who refused to assimilate. First the Colonists who were called Traitors by England and Patriots by other Colonists.
Then there's the Native American who refused to Assimilate and they were termed Savage. - Palestinians were also put on a Reservation.
Today, we have Terrorists. (When you expand into an area where people are predominently one faith, of course all the Traitors, Savages and Terrorists are going to be of that Faith!) So in this case, we have Islam.
Prejudice, only stokes the fire of the situation.

Get your facts right moron! Israel was established on land owned by the British government you idiot! Palestinians never owned the land nor was it ever under their control. Do some research before you spew your ignorant hate! If you have a problem with America, then move to an arab nation and see how well you're treated. We have enough problems in this country, we don't need idiots like yourself causing trouble from within!!

You don't read history much do you?
But OK, I'll give that that in the past 200 years, no war has been fought purely on religious grounds. By "purely" I mean there was no previous animosity between the parties, there were no political issues whatsoever, and that there were no other non-religious events that provoked the conflict. That's based on a cursory review (links below), and not counting sectarian violence that hasn't escalated into an acknowledged war.
Are you trying to say that religion has had no significant influence on any war in the past two centuries?

well... the actual reasons for many wars are often debated, but you could talk about the Kashmir conflict, multiple African conflicts, kosovo conflict, English/Irish conflicts or Israel/Palestinian conflicts... religion is at the very least a strong sub-text... and depending on who you ask... the reason for the war...
and why did you say "Dummycrats"? Most Democrats (if that's who you are referring too?) have a much greater grasp of these situations than many republicans I have met? Of course, there are exceptions...

i'm no longer particular - i do not study all of them. yet, shouldn't depraved human beings be slain? the point isn't their death. the point is so as that they received't proceed to terrorize, debase, victimize and slaughter others. Why do human beings take God to pastime for some thing they prefer to have take position themselves. If a mass assassin slaughtered 30 human beings, shouldn't God avenge the blood of the probability free? Why might want to we anticipate God to no longer do what our hearts cry out to work out finished: authentic justice! How can human beings equate God aspiring to eliminate unrepentant wickedness off the earth with that being a demonstration of Him being unholy. the reality is, if He did not punish wickedness of this degree, THEN and in hardship-free words then ought to He be unholy. The scriptures say he takes no exhilaration in judging the depraved. it is purely mandatory. :(

1) Name calling is an ineffective tactic
2) I am aware that is the effects CAUSED by religion, not religon itself, that creates wars in some cases.

Did you drop out of first grade before they started teaching history or are you just an idiot? When you learn history, try asking an intelligent question.
