"Malcom X" is the flick he should've gotten the Academy Award for , but to appease the black constituency as well as giving a backhanded compliment, gave it to him for "Training Day" where he essentially plays a thug cop...

Also good in "Mo'Betta Blues"...

Malcolm X. I can't believe Denzel didn't win Best Actor that year! It went to Pacino (great actor, nonetheless) for Scent of a Woman (not Pacino's best movie by a long shot).

Ditto on the Bone Collector. His movies are all very good, but to me, it'd be much harder to emote while being restricted to using only one finger and facial expressions along with tone of voice and delivery of lines. That was a fantastic performance by a very talented artist.

Definitely 'Remember the Titans', but the first movie I noticed him in was 'Philadelphia'--that comes a close second, followed by 'John Q' and 'Hurricane'

Remember the Titans... he should have received the Oscar for that performance. I loved Training Day, but it was not his best work.
