Stereotypes don't make sense in the end. I am gay and I play a bunch of sports. Understand what I am saying? And I totally love shopping. People are just different...

I'm a woman and I don't shop that much! I think that we are all people first, and the gender can get in the way. Men seem to be able to detach emotionally more so than women, in general. Underneath it all, we are all insecure and looking for love. Some of us have built tremendous walls. Men have been taught by society that they are not allowed to "feel," and struggle with that their whole lives, I think. Women, on the other hand, have been stigmatized as emotional beings who can't intellectualize very well, and we have come pretty far throughout the generations to try and prove that label wrong. We still have a long way to go, and I think that some women take it a little too far in trying to prove themselves in the work force. We are still expected to do the traditional things that women always did, like concentrate on the family, but now we have to bging a paycheck in, too. that makes it very hard for us to be the creative, emotional beings that we are.

I agree. I have a son and a daughter and I have watched them develop from birth. Believe me, boys are different from girls and it show up mighty early. I see the same differences in the way my wife and I communicate, approach problems, attack projects and specially verbal skills. Here is a cool link that says it all.

It probably sounds weird, but I'd rather watch sports than go clothes shopping! I shop when I need to and don't spend money frivously. Maybe this is because I'm a tomboy?

Science has proved that the differences in men and women occur in the womb, and are not due to nurturing.
