I'm certain that you could net him, put him in the tub or something
have a tank of just the dimensions big enough to keep him immersed, in your transport vehicle (put in the vehicle empty ,then filled of course) and voila!
You could probably check with your local department of natural resources or a fish hatchery for a real professional bit of advice.

If you do not want the fish any longer, take it to your local fish store. They will usually be glad to have a free fish. They will in turn, sell it to someone with a large tank.
You don't say what kind of fish it is, so it could be done growing anyway. Fish do not grow any larger than their species allows. The size of a tank does not determine what size a fish grows to. If you do regular water changes (25-30% per week) all fish will grow until they reach their normal species size. Assuming you are feeding them properly, of course.

If you must move it... and you are transporting it by car.. get a large cooler that the fish will fit in. it will be a stressful move for thr fish. you will have to check on him often and change part of the water daily.
if moving him that way is not an option, try calling your closest aqarium and ask them how they do it!

Go to your local fedex store and talk to them about it. They probably know exactly what to do about this. If you do not have a fedex, you can always try a regular post office but I am not sure how familiar they would be with overnighting live cargo. Especially since it is a fish..
