Why are people so quick to judge other people but then they get upset when someone judges them?

You see those people who make judgements about people just by looking at them then they get upset when someone does the same to them. Why is that?

The qualities we hate most in other people are often te ones we hate most about ourselves. Clearly, people who hate to be judged are the first to judge and be judged.

People are insecure and jealous beings. Some people judge people by appearance, their job, their kids, their family, their choice of dinner entree. It is ridiculous. Basically people are scum. Some not all. People feel bad inside and pass judgement on others.

In example: "Look at that skank wearing a tank top and blue jean mini-skirt and stiletto heels." The meaning is the person who said that is fat and can't wear anything but tennis shoes and x-tra large stretch pants.

In example: "That nerdy geek always rides his f-ed up bike to Yale and goes in the laboratory. He makes me ill." The meaning is the person is stupid and will probably flunk out of college or can't get into college cause they are too stupid. And they can't afford a bike or a car for that matter."

People judge cause they are stupid and human. People hate to be judged cause they are self-conscious and human.

Because they have forgotton that God is the one that is the ultimate judge and it has been said by Him that no one should judge another person, but instead take that time to judge themselves....I have run into too many people in my life that were very judgemental, and its unfortunate because relationships are lost that way..

It is a problem of superiority! People that are judgemental are usually the ones that get judged most of the times and want to get back at everyone they can. Judging is not that bad as long as it is objectively justifiable.

to begin with, its wrong to judge others. My Lord Jesus says judge not that ye be not judged. I realize people have there own way to live and thats the way of it. I get my rules from the Bible and I try my best to live by them. I get alot of things wrong,. i rely on my lord and savior. I think people want to always make the rules and when others don't comply they make judgements on others. God made each of us the way he wanted, we are each unique, and special. Its sad when we can,t get past the prejudice . within them selves, the selfrighteousness,selfcenteredness of themselves. Just hold up your head and keep on, THERE IS ONLY ONE OF EACH OF US ALL!!! NOW HOW SPECIAL IS THAT? Can't figure out or worry why people judge.

Their bad judgements on other people are what they don't like in themselves - so when other people judge them, it brings to their attention that others may also see their faults just as they see them in themselves - so it's doubly bad. I hope that made sense!

Judging other makes them feel good, it compensates their feelings of inferiority by "leveraging" them

But if they are getting judged this may hit just that nerve where it hurts.

Overall that has a bit do with a lack of intelligence too so they can't see for themselves that pattern and break it

Because they are self-centered and paranoid ! They are afraid of the unknown and don't want people to think they might not have the right car or clothes or whatever they have hang ups about. In plain words, They can dish it out and run their mouth but they can't take if its done to them !! :) Low self esteem also!

some peaple are the ones that like to make fun of others ,and if you say something bad about them, they get up set.Its alright for them to say it, but not you. They enjoy putting others down,becase it makes them look bigger.If you make fun of them,then it makes them feel small.
