I wouldn't want to rule the world. Don't get me wrong, it would be very tempting to rule and "make things right" as I saw fit, and I think I could handle the problems & responsibilities. But not a one of us is above the corrupting influence of power, and world rule is something no one should have.

All the time, politicians enter politics with the brightest of hopes and the best of intentions, but somehow inevitably become part of the machine, part of the problem. Once in office they quickly learn what "quid pro quo" means, that you have to compromise your principles in order to get anything done. It's the nature of politics, regardless of the system of gov't. So no, for the sake of my conscience, I would not want to be a world ruler.

It was ruled already, it measured in imperial and metric at 25,000 miles. will another supreme ruler update them ageing figure with a "digital tape measures next time around" who will this man be? will he come from the skys? maybe he will laxer measure it from a aeroplane, to get the digital correction, down to micro digital readings in "mm" to the closest one thousands of a mm.(25,000 654 feet 4inches , and 3mm and 7 hundredth of one fraction of a mm)

I would rule the world.
Why is everyone so afraid, don't you want some power. Being able to rule the world will let you do whatever you want (for the bad or the good). No one is going to judge your decisions (you will not even care). You can get away with anything and this is the only thing people want!

If you would like to ask if you want to rule the world, you should think of the many considerations first before you do that. First, you should be very powerful. Second, you have to be very influential. Last (but not necessarily the last), you have to like it and prepare for the numerous bad effects you would soon meet when you're already a ruler of the world. Thinking of these considerations, it made me say that I WON'T RULE THE WORLD...

I wouldn't want to rule the world. If I did something that someone didn't like then I could get killed and the whole world would be even worse off than it is now. I think that if we all work together the world now would be just fine but we can't work together because people like war.

No thanks. It might be ok for a while but it would be difficult to stay in control. When on top, there is always somebody who wants your position and is willing to take it no matter what. Castro seems to have stayed on top for half a century and kept his hands clean. Apart from Castro, I cant think of any leader, modern or past who hasn't succumbed to the darker side of having power and wanting to keep power.

No way. My life will be ruined in a very short period of time if I were the ruler of the world.
