eating my sweetcorn!!!!!!!!!!

What do I do? We already have a fence around it.

The fence is 3.5 feet high, there does not appear to be any digging underneath it. It is not deer. Our whole yard is fenced in with 7 ft high privacy fencing. They are leaving the leaves and the silk, but eating the corn and the cob. I guess I should be proud, I hope they enjoy it. We have had a skunk in the area......

Put hot peppers around the area, or sprinkle cayenne pepper powder on the corn. It works to keep some animals out.

Try the following- once the corn tassels and is pollinated wrap the ears with duct tape so nothing can open it.
Some animals can be repelled by hanging bars of soap around the garden.
There is a motion detector on the market that attaches to a garden hose and sprays water on anything that trips it.
Taller fences.

How high is the fence? Can anything get underneath? LOTS of critters eat corn....deer, raccons, opossums...

I use this recipe; 5 eggs, 5 oz. hot sauce, 1 gal. water. Put in pump sprayer and spray your garden. If it rains, spray again- eventually you will have "trained" the animals not to eat there and they will not come back too quickly after rain, but you do need
to reapply occasionally. (this same stuff cost 22.00 a bottle at the local garden supply)

Corn is like the hardest stuff to grow.
I never got my corn handled
Next season go with something other than corn.

Do they eat the cob??? It could be rottens. If the eat the leaves it could be earwigs. So go to the nursery and ask them what to do.
