Yes, they were impacted. Yes it swelled for about a day, and I had some discomfort but took aspirin. No bruising.

mine were impacted... if you're about to get it done, you might not want to read this.
For me it was a total nightmare, they were impacted like I said, so they had to put me under. Well at some point after I had zonked out, I felt this scraping feeling on my jaw and my mouth felt so dry, I didn't know it at the time but I was regaining conciousness while they removed the teeth. I started to feel pain and was able to try and say water at which point the dentist put me back under. Afterwards I got dry socket and even thinking about my jaw made it hurt. But that's the worst case scenario, it's usually much better than that.

Mine were removed before they started to grow as they would have ruined the job my braces spent 2 years fixing.
Sure it hurt, but I had pain medication. I threw up a lot of blood, that was the worst part. I don't remember any bruising, but I looked like a chipmunk for about 3 days.

all 4 pulled, 2 were impacted. Had lots of valium and demerol for the procedure and codeine for the pain after. There was some swelling, but that and the pain essentially went away after a few days.

Mine were impacted. I had them removed when i was 14. And i was put to sleep and don't remember getting into my mom's car. When i woke up it felt like i couldn't close my mouth. After two days my cheeks swelled pretty big and my friends thought it was funny.

depends on the Dr, its just as easy to extract a impacted tooth as one that is out, a oral surgeon might be best for you if your scared , they can put you to sleep, when you wake up its over!! all you might have to do keep a ice pack on your face for a short period of time and plan on doing nothing for the next 24 hours but relax and not move your head alot, DONT smoke,DONT drink out of a straw, DONT rinse your mouth, for a day after, and don't blow your nose, if any of the above is done you may get a dry socket. and that will result in PAIN. good luck
