You definitely need one.

If you want a free one, then go with AVG.

If you want to pay for one, then Kaspersky Labs is the best one by far. They have the best antivirus/antispyware/firewall. Come on, they are made by the Russians.

DO NOT go for Norton or McAfee. Yes, they are the most popular ones and a few years ago they were pretty good. But by now, they have become crap. The software is just so big and demanding on your resources. Your computer will take forever to start-up. It will bog down your system. Your computer will be a lot slower. And they are not as good of a antivirus as they once were. It is very easy to fool them. There are plenty of viruses which they still can't pick up.

hi, you can also try Norton or Mcafee to remove the virus, but you should pay for the software.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.

download firefox for free:

I have used Panda for a year now and it has done a great job. Firewall, email checks in and out and download checks.
I got it for $8.00 incl shipping via http://www.pricewatch.com
and the price includes a year's worth of auto updates...
I have used computers for 30 years and am knowledgeable. (Well, at least all my friends and family come to me with all of their computer problems).

bitdefender is the best man!..

better than mcafee and avg..the only sad part is that it's a 1month trial software.
If youre planning to purchase it, don't worry you won't regret it..

I've been using bitdefender for a while now and I haven't experienced spyware problems yet..it rocks!
