It should all come naturally, just be yourself, do your school work and interaction with new people will happen. Don't be pushy or overly eager, just play it cool. You'll make plenty of new friends. Remember, you're ALL in the same boat... new school, new classes, new people... It HAS to happen!

First, don't quit your current friend: at recess get connected with him/her if you guys have the same schedule. Talk to people. Make a new friend the same way as you made with your current friend. It happens very naturally. Be yourself, and eventually it "clicks" with someone. You find a lot in common. First you grow closer and find ways to help each other. And you will feel a desire to hang out with this person. Before you know he/she becomes your friend. Give it a time.
I hope it helps.
Good luck to you.

There are many friendly people in school. The ones who are reserved to themselves could end up being great friends. It might be easiest to start a casual conversation about a current event.

i have a similar problem to. I'm going to be a freshman this year and most of my friends won't be there. just don't be shy around anyone if they talk to you and if you see someone that seems nice then start a conversation with them and ask them to hang out sometime and eventually you might end up to be good Friends.

You can start by just talking to people. You know small talk. Just go in there with all sorts of confidens and chat with people in no time you will make new friends. Just don't be one of the shy people who sit in the corner get out there talk to people

Hey it's always difficult when you start somewhere new, just be yourself i'm sure there are lots of other people in the same boat!
It's when we try to be something we arn't to impress others the problems begin,as we lose sight of reality and who we are!
You'll be fine...Just enjoy :-)

Make small talk with people in your class when you can. Be friendly. Talk about interests and events and ask if they'd like to come.

Geet people with a smile, shake hands ask their name, ask them about them selves, listen as they talk. Make eye contact to show you are interested in them.
