Suzuki engines are very reliable. There are original factory engines pushing 500,000 kms that are still running without problems. Their transmissions are known for having weak 2nd gear synchros and occassionally losing a shaft bearing. Older cars may have issues with flaky wiring (particularily headlights), as well as underbody rust. Overal Suzuki vehicles demonstrate that will keep running even with neglectful maintenance.

I just bought a Suzuki Areo. I haven't had it long enough to comment on how good of a car it is, but, I just love it. It has all the luxuries of a bigger vehicle.

Just like Honda is best in the world for making 'FOUR STROKE' Engines................Suzuki is the best in making 'SMALL' Engines...its their speciality.
Suzuki 800 cc car is a craze in India and I am telling you that this car has taken our nation forward in 'driving'...its one of the best car that every Indian will praise about....every Indian...you 'jump-it', 'park-it', 'run-it' almost everywhere...in sand, mud, gravel....anywhere and it will never let you down...

They are average. They make better Motorcycles. The newer one's are better than the older one's and the SUV's are better than their cars. I wouldn't get the Suzuki Esteem. They quit making them for a reason.

I've just bought a Suzuki Swift Y reg. Its fine for driving round town, but I wouldn't recommend driving down the motorway in one, as they are very light cars. The body is very thin, and if someone goes into you its likely to crumply like paper. When it comes to the engine and that, I just don't know about that yet.
