I still see my friends but not as often. For example, if my husband doesn't want to go shopping with me (and he doesn't) I go out with my girl-friends to shop. Since my husband doesn't like going for a run, I go out with my friends instead. Same with him. He still sees his friends from time to time but not as often as when he was single. Sometimes we both go out and do something with our friends together. Just because you're married, doesn't mean you have to forsake your friends. It's healthy for a marriage when you both have activities outside of it. Just as long as it's not excessive. It helps to keep both of your identities.

Oh My God!! I hated hearing this sooooo much before we got married. Less than 48 hours before I was to get married some drunk lady at a restruant told me that "he's gonna change" "it's never the same" "i hope it lasts longer than a year". She didn't even know me!! We'd been together 4 years by then, living together for 2, and we've know eachother 8 years. We've been married for 3 months and NOTHING has changed. I'm sure it's a case by case basis, but if I had to hear "it'll change" one more time, I was gonna commit murder!!!
We're the same people, we see our friends just as much if not more (most are married or in commited relationships) and we all hang out now and go on weekend trips and stuff

I myself am not married but have been in my relationship for 13 years. We have chose not to get married after my sister did as they had been together for 10 years and after they got married it only lasted for 2 years before it ended. Marriage definitely change them so we feel that if you are committed to each other what does a piece of paper mean.

I think everyone changes to some degree once they get married and settle down. My husband still sees his friends but not as much as he did when he was single, and the same would go for me. I think priorities change once your married. When our single friends come by it's almost like we are out of touch with the single scene and how they date now. It's strange.

Yes, you change your friends after marriage. You still keep up with some, but not as often. You tend to make new friends that are in committed relationships. No matter how hard you try, you just drift away from single friends.

I did in some way limited my time with my friends, but not to the point of not seeing them, calling them or visit them or hang around with them. But instead of having my life revolve around my friends 24/7 like when I was single, I tried to balance my time..more time with my husband and daughter and sometimes once aweek with friends to a bar or restaurant(thats with female friends and with male friends, I make sure to have my husband around when I hangout with them).

Marriage should not alter the way you treat your friends. However, if the friend is of the opposite sex then that friend needs to become the friend of both people. If that can't happen, then that friend needs to move on.

Yeah I changed, but not like that.
I stopped doing all the wondering things I did to get her to marry me in the first place.
