i think MLB should expand some more and have 8 divisions of 4 teams each for a total of 32 teams, like in the NFL. then the winner of each division would make the playoffs. tell me what you think of this. here is one possible way that this would work. the problems i see so far, are things like the AL south would be a pretty easy division while the AL north would be a very tough division.

AL

North-
Chicago White Sox
Detroit Tigers
Minnesota Twins
Cleveland Indians

East-
NY Yankees
Boston Red Sox
Toronto Blue Jays
Baltimore Orioles

West-
Oakland A’s
Anaheim Angels
Seattle Mariners
Kansas City Royals

South-
Puerto Rico Expos
Mexico City Robbers
Tampa Bay Devil Rays
Texas Rangers

NL

North-
Milwaukee Brewers
Chicago Cubs
Pittsburgh Pirates
Cincinnati Reds

East-
Washington Nationals
Philadelphia Phillies
NY Mets
Florida Marlins

West-
San Diego Padres
San Francisco Giants
Arizona Diamondbacks
LA Dodgers

South-
Atlanta Braves
Colorado Rockies
Houston Astros
St. Louis Cardinals

If MLB ever expands, it's not going to be into Mexico, trust me, the players are not going to want to live there and it's going to cause too much of a hassle with travel with all the security going on, and you're gonna have to need passports pretty soon to travel out of country, it just wouldn't work. Plus you can't charge the same prices for concessions and tickets and merchandise in Mexico, owners wouldn't make the same kind of profit as they do in the States. If they ever expand, which probably won't happen, it's more likely teams will move before that ever happens, but if they ever expand it would be more likely Charlotte, or maybe a Portland, a large US city, not Mexico, nothing against beaners, that's just the fact of the matter.

There's no reason to expand anymore. I like the playoff system the way it is, though I wouldn't mind seeing some modifications to the wild card. Having two wild card winners play a single game playoff with each other for the right to advance to the division series (with no day off) would be okay with me.

Nah - pitching is already too diluted as it is.Contraction to 28 or 26 teams would be a better.

not bad, but its kinda funky. its a nice twist, but that would make more teams with fewer capable players. pitching would be horrendous for a while for the mexico teams, plus they would take some of the other teams as well
