he also is pretty aggressive, and sometimes he will swim really fast around his bowl, then stop. and sometimes he will just stay in one place and move every few minutes. i added that so it might help.

You are the only one who can come up with a great name for your new baby. I have three bettas and had a hard time naming them. I found help in my family, friends, and the following sites. They offer names, definitions of names, origins, and the like so you can pick the perfect name for him. If you plan to get another betta or you already have one you could start a theme. My bettas names all start with F and represent their personalities. Good Luck with naming him. Oh and the best advice I can give is that you give him a unique name. Something you don't here often and that you like. Adjust a name to fit you. One of my fish's names is Finneas. It is normally spelled Phinneas but I had to change it. Have fun! Oh and alot of pet naming sites are not very unique so don't be scared to check out the baby naming sites.

What about Valentine? It means "Healthy and Strong" in Latin, which I hope your fish will do so.
