The term Caucasian race, Caucasian or Caucasoid is used to refer to people whose ancestry can be traced back to Europe, North Africa, West Asia, Indian subcontinent and parts of Central Asia [1], a region known as the Caucasus. It usefulness as a taxonomical categorization of human racial groups based on a presumed common geographic and/or linguistic origin is disputed by some.
So I would say yes.

Italians are a mixture of every race and ethnic group in the world.

When the Italian homo sapien evolved, it was endowed with the best qualities of all of the foregoing species. Consequently, although the Chinese invented pasta, they can't make a decent lasagne. Tomatoes were first produced in the Middle East, but have you ever heard of a marinara sauce from Iraq or Jordan? Or a Saudi Pizza?

The Greeks invented shoes, but people go to Rome or Naples for the best in footwear, not Athens. The British supposedly perfected the trench coat, but have you ever seen an English overcoat that can conceal a machine gun the way that Sicilian garb does?

Language was developed in Africa, but there is not a single tribe or nation on that continent whose spoken word would qualify in any way as a Romance Language. In fact, "romance," in this context, does not mean kissy-face, smoochy-pie. It refers to the fact that the language derives from Roman, the "missing link" between mere mortals and Italians.

Bureaucracy was introduced by the Germans, yet there is no Germanic organization that boasts a "Capo di tutti capi." Only the Japanese Shogun of the medieval era came close.

So, don't insult my fellow piasans by referring to them as caucasians.

We know where you live, and we can make you an offer that you can't refuse.

Italians are citizens or residents of Italy (or their descendants). People with ancestors from every part of the world have come to Italy and they and their families have become Italians. So the category "Italian" is independent of the category "caucasian." But seriously, what is "caucasian" and what is "race" anyway? The brightest intellectuals of history haven't been able to give a real definition, good luck to you in that.

It depends on what your definition is. They are caucasian I believe, but not aryan. So, that is the difference.

Caucasians typically have the lowest degree of projection of the, alveolar bones which contain the teeth, a notable size prominence of the cranium and forehead region, and a projection of the midfacial region. In anthropology skin color is not counted when describing Caucasians because Caucasians can be from pale (e.g. Scandinavia) to very dark brown (e.g. India).

There are those who would argue that the term is synonymous with "Caucasoid" and thus identifies a very large group of people who present certain general physical characteristics, with generally sharp features and straight/wavy hair. Using this diluted definition, "Caucasians" would range from the very dark South Indians; light-Brown to olive skinned North Indians, people of the Middle East and Mediterranean region; to the fair-skinned, light-haired natives of Northern Europe; or immigrant populations from any of these groups in the Americas or Australia.

Under this broadened definition, "Caucasians" would be the largest racial population group collectively in the world. The population would about equally split between the darker-skinned people originating in the Indian subcontinent and North Africa and the lighter-skinned people originating in Europe, and Western Asia. In reality, however, although Indians may be members of the broad "Caucasoid" racial classification by this definition, very few if any Indians would identify themselves as caucasians.

In common usage in North America and some other areas, the term "Caucasians" differs from the term "Caucasoid", and "Caucasians" are taken to include only fair-skinned "whites", whose populations are historically concentrated in the Northern parts of the world, including Northern Europe, Northern Asia and North America. Through immigration, however, Caucasians have also settled in large numbers in South America, Australia, New Zealand and parts of Southern Africa. Under this more common definition of the term, Caucasians make up a relatively small minority of the world's population.

In anthropology on the other hand, the definition has remained unchanged.

Yes,they are.Caucasian or Caucasoid, term once used by anthropologists to refer to a racial group consisting primarily of the light-skinned peoples of Europe, North Africa, western Asia, and India. The designation Caucasian was first used in the 18th century by scholars who believed that white Europeans originated in Caucasia, a region in southeastern Europe and southwestern Asia.

No europeans are caucasian. Caucasians are people that are native to the caucasus mountain range of western asia.

Italians are europeans, though that is more of a geographical classification than a racial classification.

According to the Y chromosome mutation study by Spencer Wells, non-mediterranean europeans are more closely geneticly related to many northeast asians and native americans than to mediterraneans, and mediterraneans fall into the middle eastern racial group.
