Gene Simmons of Kiss fame is a famous example of this. He has been with his girl for over twenty years...
they live together and have two teenagers.
They live like a normal family.
He says he has been "happily unmarried for twenty two years!"
The wife still would like to marry.
They have a new show, on Bravo, I think. Kind of like the Osbornes, but I think better.

I was married to a man for twenty years and he died three yrs ago. I met a man that I date but I will not get remarried I do not feel it inside. I care for him but not enough to ever marry him and he knows this.
