Everyone has a word that makes them cringe when they hear it. What's the word that makes you feel all weirded out?

I hate most words that have been made my adding "ness" to the end. People say pointless things like "beautifulness" when they should just say "beauty", or "stupidness" instead of "stupidity". Half of them aren't even real words!

Also, I'm so tired of seeing "hott". Every time I've seen it used, it's been by an annoying person!

And this new slang word, apparently meaning "coveting" : "jonesing".

Ah! That feels better. Thanks!

It depends on how the word is said and who is saying it. The location and timing is somewhat important. For example if someone uses a very sensitive word in public and was saying it very loud enough for others to hear, I think this will make me feel odd.

For me it is the f word. It is now being used as a verb, noun and adjective by people how apparently don't know another word.

I feel offended when people use the "f" word. To me it demonstrates a lack of ability to express oneself with other words. It's used as noun, verb, adjective and adverb.........I suppose it's partially due to our modern society's slackened attitudes towards decency and morals.

I have to agree with the people who said "sexy" and "the f word". It also bugs me when people use "party" as a verb.

"thank you so much"

its become so often repeated that it has lost its meaning. people should be more inventive... it sounds so mechanical and insincere now.

we could say:

thanks

thanks a lot

thanks a million

i appreciate it

or just a simple thank you!
