Do you agree that "old man wage war and young men fight it"? If so, what are some tips that we, as the next generation, can do to put an end to the hatred and jealiousies that the generations before us failed to stop passing down?

Down through the ages man has waged war to settle disputes over boundaries, land, acts of aggression. Man has become very good at conducting wars, even colleges to train military tactics. Man has not become skilled at negotiating satisfactory solutions to disputes. This the 21st century we need to start talking, learn problem solving technques, because our very survival depends on it. We cannot continue to waste our energies,intellect,resources on war and survive on this planet earth

what can you do to end the hatred? Mmmm....maybe kill all the people who hate westerners. What you fail to include in your paradigm is that you can't stop others from wanting to hurt you by appeasing them or putting a flower in their gun barrel. Hatred and animosity will ALWAYS exist due to cultural, religious, ethnic differences.
For the record? I've seen many 40 yr and 50 yr olds out there on the battlefield and in the military right along side the 20 yr olds. And contrary to popular belief (especially by foreigners) the U.S. military does not necessarily *enjoy* going to war. It sucks seeing friends and comrades die. War is sometimes a necessary evil to ensure a peaceful existance for the future as hypocritical and antithetical as that sounds.

I agree that is how it happens, take a look around the world now. Sometimes even "Middle aged" me start wars.
