Long ago, the fourth hokage, or called Yondaime, the father of naruto, sealed the monster attacking Konoha village. The monster was called the ''Kyuubi'' or ninetails demon fox.
Everytime Naruto gets very mad, gets in a very dangerous situation or gives signs to the kyuubi that he needs power, the kyuubi will let his red chakra (chakra - are used to perform ninjutsu or special moves. It is like the ''mana'' (just like in computer games) (the red chakra is a special chakra that is very unique and strong) flow to the chakra vessels inside his body. His eyes will then turn red.
That's why he got red eyes in movie 1. He said this, ''Damn fox! Lend me your power!''

Naruto had a nine-tail demon fox (Kyuubi) sealed inside his body when he was a baby. The Yondaime (fourth hokage) did it.
If Naruto become very angry or desperate, the Kyuubi will awake and lend him its demonish power---the red chakra---it makes his eyes turns red, like a demon.
Anyway, does Yondaime really the father of this shonen?

I never saw the movie, but i can tell you because it happens in the show and i've seen one episode where his eyes are red. they get red because the nine-tailed fox charka is red. it pours out into naruto making him go mad with rage when he already is VERY MAD, his eyes turn red, goes on all fours, nails turn to like claws, and there's a red aura around him.

The animation creators want to make different identity between clumsy naruto and crazy powerfull naruto. You can see the color change of his chakra

when he was born a Nine Tailed Fox was sealed within him and it gets released when he gets really mad or is about to die so thats why Naruto got those red eyes

narutos eyes turned red because he got angry and when he does that he can call on the power of the nine tails fox demon, whos power is red

the reason is because the seal to hold the nine tailed fox has weakened over time so when he gets really angry part of the fox gets out

did u just decide to skip the few first episodes and watch that one? then u are not worthy to be an OTAKU!
the kyubi inside him makes his eyes goes red when his fels anger...
