I'm so sorry to hear about your loss..... *Hugz*
I don't think it would be appropriate to take your camera,
but I know a lot of people do take a photo of the deceased.
If you would like to take a photo, ask your bestfriend's family
for permission, and they may allow special viewing before
or after the funeral.

Again, I am so sorry....

You MUST consult the family before you take any pictures, otherwise that is a lawsuit waiting to happen for both you and the funeral home. DO NOT just take the pictures, ask the family and then ask the funeral home to accomodate your request.

I am sorry to hear that. Life can be tough some times. I would seek the permission of your best friend's family and get their opinion first, then maybe the funeral director and go from there. Good luck. I hope you are coping OK.

That is inappropriate. Family members sometimes do this, but that is their business. Remember your friend from the photos you already have of him or her. What about taking some photos of where you and your friend would meet at times in the past? Or what about putting together a collage or photo album consisting of photos of your friend? These would be better ways of keeping the memory of your friend alive.

I have taken pics at evry family member that has passed on. I think that it is fine. Take the pics when the most of the people are gone, tho. Maybe clear it with the parents. I dont think it is creepy or wrong tho.

Some people want "last" photographs. If it is ok with the family then take pictures.

You should talk to your friend's family about that, they might find it disrepectful and it isn't going to be a day people are going to want to look back on in pictures.

well you probably shouldnt. but it really is up to you. but i dont think the mourners want yhou taking pictures of them. it is very sad your bestfriend died. if you do bring a camera it may give you closure. so it is your choice. you should ask your bestfriend's family.

*have a nice day*
