No, The Earth has been going through changes since it's creation. Most man made gases are usually vented or used by other living organisms. As a for instance, We give plants carbon dioxide, and in exchange they give us oxygen. The Planet is going through a transition and it is just a normal part of the aging process. It is apparent however that increased gases do exist in our atmosphere, but not enough to cause a global meltdown.

The greenhouse effect, first discovered by Joseph Fourier in 1824, and first investigated quantitatively by Svante Arrhenius in 1896, is the process in which the absorption of infrared radiation by an atmosphere warms a planet. The name comes from an incorrect analogy with the way in which greenhouses are heated by the sun in order to facilitate plant growth. In addition to the Earth, Mars, Venus and other celestial bodies with atmospheres (such as Titan) have greenhouse effects.
In common parlance, the term greenhouse effect may be used to refer either to the natural greenhouse effect, due to naturally occuring greenhouse gases, or to the enhanced (anthropogenic) greenhouse effect, which results from gases emitted as a result of human activities (see also global warming, scientific opinion on climate change and attribution of recent climate change).

Yes it does exist but not to the highly exaggerated apocalyptic doom that Al Gore would have you believe. Gasses like CO2 act as an insulator and trap heat in the atmosphere. This has happened for millions of years and will continue. What people like Al Gore don't tell you is that an active volcano spills more Greenhouse gasses than we ever could. That the Earth is a relatively new planet, a violent one at that. It has been changing and will change for many years. So this apparent doom could be just a normal change.
P.S. Everybody needs to remember one important fact of Credibility............. Al Gore invented the internet, lolz.

Yes. Have you seen the Inconvienient Truth?
The greenhouse affect is caused by gases, such as carbon dioxide and car exhaust, thickining a layer of the atmosphere. the sun comes and gets trapped inside, and sense the layer is thicker, it can't come out as easily. This is what causes global warming, in a nutshell.

Yes. It is what helps to keep in some of the sun's heat. If we didn't have somewhat of a greenhouse effect, we'd probably bit more like Mars.

It has always existed to a certain extend. Our atmosphere does retain heat by default. What happens now is that it increases by a tiny amount, but even that tiny amount is thought to disturb the fine balance of meteorology, and subsequently biology.
