I am starting the birth control on the first day of my period like the pamplet says to do. Does that mean it will just continue or stop? Meaning my period right now, since they are active pills? I am not saying will my period stop all together I know it wont. I just mean when you start it for the first time again. I cant remember?

First off look at your pack...
They come with stickers of the days of the week. You don't HAVE to start on Sunday but it is easier to remember. When I first started I let my period start then I waited a couple of days and started my pill pack on a Saturday to give my body time to have a normal period.
That way your body sticks to some-what of a normal schedule with your period.
But remember you need to take it at the same time everyday and follow the directions if you skip your pill.
Also the pill doesn't become active until your first full month of taking the pill

Good luck with everything!

It should stop a couple days after starting the pill again. And just for added info, I take my pills continuously now, only stopping for 5 days every 4-5 months and I've had no problems at all.

well it says to start the 1st day of your period but i would start the 1st sunday after you start your period because it causes your period to be all out of wack.

When ever you start the pills will try to make your body stop the period and you may spot for the remainder of your period and thats how it will be untill you stop taking the pill.

If you start on the sunday after your period starts it will make your body more normal.

Your current period will continue on as normal... my doc told me to do it when the flow is light and towards the end. been on for a month. The ring... once you get use to it your emotions won't be so out of wack... but then the control will make your period more steady and come at the same time!

Sunday start is only for girls who can't remember to buy their pills... You will have a normal pd this time, and will have another pd in three weeks when you reach the end of the medicated pills. After that, your pd will be every 4th week.
