Does marijuana really 'open your mind'?? Yes yes i know its illegal i used to smoke it years ago. I remember the thought processes i had and it seems that cannabis helped me think in a 'deeper' way
Alcohol is sosciably acceptable in today society but it doesnt have the deepness and the quality that dope has
Alcohol Kills on average 30,000 a year in britain. Why is it legal????? when alcohol is destructive and cannabis is peaceful.
Any dope smokers out there??

I can't say that marijuana really opens your mind, but I can say this. Marijuana has improved my life in many ways. When I smoke pot, I have much more of a conscious of right and wrong. I know the difference between the two when I am not smoking, but when I am smoking, I really take care to choose the better path(always). Also, and I am aware this isn't the case with most people, when I am smoking I am more concerned with my eating habits and exercise. I take a more active role with my family. When smoking I am overcome with urges to learn and seek out knowledge. I am happier when I am smoking on a regular basis. There have been times when I have stopped for a year or more. I don't have withdrawls or depression, but when I am smoking I just feel happier. I am sure most of this stuff is in my head, but the way I see it is "so what if it is". If something makes me feel better and more fulfilled, I am going to do it. I am an alcoholic also. My definition of alcoholic is someone whose' life is unmanageable because of alcohol. I consider myself recovering because I rarely drink anymore(I still may slip once or twice a year), but pot has definitely helped me to stay away from alcohol and my life is completely manageable when I am stoned. Anyways, that's just my 2cents.

Marijuana is a healing plant, the THC is an extra added bonus.
It does open your mind and before you know it you grow your hair long and protest the war.
The reason alcohol is legal and marijuana isn't is because you can't patent a natural substance. oh and there is a strong alcohol and tobacco lobby in Washington. follow the money.
I was going to quit if Kerry won, but I must stay high in Bush world.

I used to smoke pot myself.I would smoke some if it was offered.I feel silly when I am on it.I get a lot of euphoric feelings of joy and laughter when I smoke it.Sometimes I do tent to get very in thought about one thing.I have been known to sit there for over two hours contemplating the life of a microbe.But my favorite thing to do when stoned is go to the grocery store and walk around being silly.

It does open your mind... despite what some narcs will say.
What the world needs to do is legalize it, tax the hell out of it and use the tax money for good. Use the hemp for fuel, rope, paper, etc.. we won't even need oil, trees, etc. anymore... hemp and marijuana could really save the world.
And I've never had a single destructive thought on pot either. For people who condemn it, they've obviously never tried it.

I used to use it but would become to paranoid. I enjoyed it while it lasted and yes I think it does open up the mind a little.

but i am in total agreement,. i too, cannot understand why alcohol is legal, and if you smoke you are a criminal

Gah, I think you are so right about it helping you think 'deeper!'
When I'm high, I can go for hours just thinking about the most complex things!
I just have to be careful to stay on track or I'll forget what I'm thinking about sometimes..
And marijuana isn't "dope."

i agree... i think marijauna is no different than alcohol & the only reason its not legal is it grows too easy & the government wouldnt be able to control it... alaska says they had less crime rate when it was legal... i see nothing wrong with growing/ smoking your own, like alaska's old law..for personal consumption...

Then it's about bloody time you had a bifta old boy...I agree with you.I'm on the piss most of the time and it wrecks me... a wee tug on a Morroccan Woodbine doesn't do anyone any harm. Certainly no less harm than some of the blinkered wankers on here do.
