Ok it depends on how old your car is ,
1) you maybe using your slave key, it does not have a chip in it
2) it maybe as simple as a fuse check the box under the dash (fuse box) look for fuel pump fuse.
3) your injectors maybe clogged up. Not getting enough fuel to keep it running
Now if it has a carburetor try adjusting the small screw on the side it has a spring around it.

Good luck

Hmmm, must be that popular car that ...... NO ONE has heard of. Please more details. What kind of car and such? And possibly what you tried to do already. These are helpful...and we can't read minds thru our internet. As some would like us to.
