One must have a Yahoo ID and password to access, correct? If parents already have these, then they should fill out a form so that Yahoo will block their children from accessing the site. However, when you think about it, it's sad that kids won't be able to access the "positive" things about Yahoo Q&A. Adults should stop providing inappropriate content. That's where change should occur.

Perhaps. Some of the questions/answers on this site can touch on sensitive subjects. If you block other sites, you might want to block this one.
On the other hand, a lot of the advice is pretty good.
I definately wouldn't put blocks on the computer past the age of 14 or so.

Well for 1, they won't know ppl are kids unless they say so. 2, this website is ok for 13+ but for below that yes there should be child locks. I disagree on 18 because, frankly that would be dumb. 2nd, half of these people are children, yahoo doesn't wanna lose users.

I don't think it would be possible because youths today still know how to get into the 18+ site...but I guess it would be ok this isn't a R rated site.

Oh come on. Do you think the parents of a 17-year-old are going to restrict his internet use?
The kind of parents who give their kids computers could care less what the kids do with them. They are just giving the kids something to keep them occupied and keep the kids out of their way.

I think there should be some restrictions. For young users, they are not supposed to be able to sign up for a Yahoo! ID without adult supervision, so it makes sense that they shouldn't be able to access Answers (which contains some adult content).

I doubt if it would do any good. Kids know how to get around that stuff. Plus all they have to do is create a new profile and lie about their age.

Hey! Some kids are mature!!! So no they shouldn't! Any way mostly every kid I know around maybe 10 or 11 already know about sex and stuff! So this is appropriate for kids! Shoot Myspace chats r worse than this place!
