A towing company is towing cars that are "illegally" backed in to their assigned parking spaces in apartment complexes then charging exorbitant sums to get the car out of the tow lot. ($265.00) The apartment management is probably in on the scam since the tow trucks come in the middle of the night (after 12am).

When confronted, the apartment management whips out a signed acknowledgement form that the tenant signed when they leased the apartment. However, there aren't any signs posted anywhere on or near the apartment complex or parking structure warning of the consequences or that backing in is not allowed. Sounds like a scam to me!!

The Better Business Bureau is a non-profit org. that encourages honest advertising and selling practice and is supported by local businesses, so they'd be useless. It's certainly reeks of a scam, but it sounds like the landlord has his bases covered on this one. It's in the signed rent/lease agreement somewhere. Go through it very thoroughly and I bet you'll find in there a brief mention about no back-in parking. Even if it's under a different category, it's mentioned somewhere and the tenant signed it and therefore agrees to ALL the terms and conditions in that agreement. As long as it's mentioned in there, he can tow even without a posted sign. He can get it towed if your tags are one day late. As long as you don't know everything agreed to in that signed agreement, he and the tow company are profiting from your ignorance. It's very low to do, especially when you are just trying to pay your rent in a tough place like Pomona as it is.

There aren't any customer-pleasant unethical practices. to declare that there are signifies that each and anybody are unethical. at the same time as one does some thing that provides one an earnings, it is not any longer inevitably unethical. procuring a product from someone diverse than me, or hiring someone diverse than me, at the same time as i opt to promote my element, or do my element for you isn't inherently unethical. Treating absolutely all of us both inspite of which area of a border they have been born on or stay to inform the tale isn't inherently unethical in spite of if it does provide me a organization earnings. Giving a pal a pastime for which some different person is extra functional qualified isn't an ethical problem if i'm proprietor of the organization, in spite of if i keep in mind that my pal is particularly qualified.
