As a former bartender (I still do it on the side), just go to your favorite pub or nite spot or where you have a favorite bartender and ask them. If they are working that night, maybe they know of someone. It may help guard you from any bad suprises as this will be a special day for you. My 40th was 10-8 of last year. Good luck, good wishes and be safe.

As a Bartending Instructor I can tell you its easier than you think. Is there a local bartending school in your area ? Students that are about to graduate (or the previous class) can be hired for a cheaper price and if your thinking "Are they good enough, do they know their drinks ?" If they were taught properly then you should have a great time.........HAPPY B-DAY !!!

just looking under party planning, or bartenders in the phone book. You can hire a bartender for a certain amount of hours

just go to a local bar and ask the bartendar if they would like to work for you on that date. You can go to any bar, ask them a few questions, than ask them if they'd like to work for you. I've done it before And I know fellow bartenders who have too! My advice is stay away from schools, they are still learning, or just graduating, you want expierience and someone who knows how to treat and have fun with your guests! Happy B-day!

Call a catering service, Or ask a local bartender, maybe they want a little sidework, or call a bartender school, or if you have hired a DJ, ask if he knows someone. Have fun!
