Tell him that co-dependency will kill any marriage. Everyone needs time alone to grow as a person. If you don't, you WILL end up divorced, that I guarantee. You might plan a day at a spa or an all female meditation retreat if it helps him feel more secure. But eventually he will need to give you room enough to grow or he will lose you one way or another. If he is insecure and suspicious and he REALLY has no reason to be (only u know the answer to that...) it is because he has emotional issues (get him help for co-dependency, usually both counselling AND a support group) or because he is doing something behind ur back and figures you might be doing the same. You need to tell him this, if he really blows up about it, don't be afraid to go to counselling. Counselling can be for people who just want to make thier relationship better. The reason that ppl think of it as for people who are on the verge of losing their relationship is because most ppl wait until it gets to a crisis level before they go to counseling. Go there with that just wanting to improve your marriage attitude and good luck!

If your reason for getting away is on the up and up, then you shouldn't need an excuse. It is not good at all that your spouse is jealous, especially if you've never given him a reason to be. Maybe you should reassess your relationship with this man. It is only gonna get worse as time goes on.

Don't let some man stop you from doing anything you want to do. You have a LIFE, and it's your right to live it however you want, without being under someone's else's thumb. Tell him you're going out, and it's none of his damn business where, and if he can't deal with that, he can hit the road. Don't ever let some guy strong-arm you that way. He has no right to hold you prisoner in your own home because of his own insecurities. You're going to have to stand up for yourself.

Sorry, I have a similar problem and no answer. My man's not jealous, but I just can't lie to him. Never had the need to until just recently. I need to steal some of your answers! Visiting a friend with problems is a good one!! Let's try that one and see how it goes. Good luck.

What do you need to do that you need to lie to your spouse? No wonder he's jealous - you're a liar.
