Does any one know what is happening with the collective extermination of American Pit Bull Terriers? The California Legislature was voting on whether or not they were going to order extermination on Pits. Does anyone know if it has gone to the polls yet, or if it passed??

If it passes in California, then odds are it will be brought to the rest of the country. I won't have my dog put down because other members of his breed have a bad rep. He never hurt anyone, and I have had him for 13 years.

The chances of any state or local government collectively exterminating Pit Bulls as a breed is ZERO. Forget it! It won't happen!

i have no clue but i definetly feel 4 u because i have 2 staffordshire bull terriers which are also on that pit list, so i have 2 pay 100$ each each year just 2 keep them.

I too have a pit bull. She is 9 years old and I have had her for 7 years, she is just loveable! PIT BULLS AREN'T BAD DOGS, SOME JUST HAVE IRRESPONSIBLE OWNERS. I hope this doesn't pass, because I am not putting my dog (my baby) down either.

don't worry, all of you Americans are sick animal lovers, don't get me wrong, I like dogs as pets, but some people think they are people which is kind of odd.

my point is that in this country if such law is released, organizations of all over the country would be fighting to stop it

search for websites to fight breed-specific legislation. it is ignorant and cruel. thank god it is not in Texas, where i live with my pit and lab mix.
