Our constitution allows that if the people of the US by two thirds of popular pupular vote. Decided to go back to a Monarchy which the gover ment would have to do. Then would we still have the right which we think we do to tell other countries how to run their lives. What right do we have, now wouldn't we fight if someone tried to tell us what we can and can't do.

A few more steps are involved, but yes.

A Constitutional Convention may be called "on the application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states" and changes are valid "when ratified by the legislatures of three fourths of the several states, or by conventions in three fourths thereof". Article V.

So, enough people go together in each state to pass state bills calling for the convention, and then to ratify the proposal, they could rewrite as much of the constitution as they wanted.

Scary huh?
