Have I Told You Lately
The day I first saw you’re face and smile I knew,
my life would never be the same.
You came from out of no where,
and I didn’t even know your name.
I never really believed in love at first site,
and thought it was more of a persons fantasy
but now I have to be honest with myself,
and say I’m glad you made a liar out of me.
You are the reason I get up each day,
and the reason I look for tomorrow.
It’s only when I’m not around you,
that I ever feel pain or sorrow.
I can’t think of a greater gift in this world,
than for a man to live his dream.
To be able to go to bed each night with you,
and wake up in the arms of that dream.
So I just want you to know, why I haven’t told you,
that I love you more than life itself and to its very end.
Because I cannot hurt the one, that just said to me,
have I told you lately, you’re my best friend.
