Depends on the medication. Some medications are sensitive to heat or cold, and some are sensitive to light (why some are stored in dark bottles). The heat or sunlight produces a chemical reaction inside the medication, and the reactions are dangerous, and potentially fatal at worst, or render them ineffective at best.

Depends. If it supposed to be refrigerated, well......if it's capsules or tablets and you store it hotter than it's supposed to be, the chemical composition will start to break down and a.) become less effective or b.) become toxic. Call your pharmacist if you're not sure. Better safe than sorry.
