I sell cell phones and you would not believe how many people come in here and say they dropped there cell phone in the toilet it's unbelievable don't worry your not the only one. It's just gross when someone comes in puts it on my desk I pick it up and then they say it's not working so I start taking it apart and then they say I dropped in the toilet.

Hilarious question! No i've got in no way dropped something down the bathroom, yet my kitten dumps his toys in on a common foundation (by using fact my b/f continuously leaves the lid up.) at present i've got had to pass fishing for those products: a million) A mechanical mouse 2) A blue fluffy snake 3) A ping pong ball 4) A white fluffy rabbit (it rather is not particularly as white now, regrettably) 5) A rubber frog a minimum of it keeps me amused...

No, but I did drop in a rain puddle and it quit working. I got a new upgraded one with a camera and then it turned itself on and would never turn on again and they sent me a supposedly refurbished one as a replacement for that and it wouldn't take a charge. Then miraclously, after 6 months, the phone that I dropped in the puddle started working again! The do dry out eventually, so I hope that you didn't throw your phone away. I have a friend who works in construction and he is always dropping his phones in people's swimming pools. He takes the phones apart so they can dry out and then they always work again.

if you drop any electronic item into water, turn it off, remove the battery, and let it completly dry out. DO NOT replace the battery if there is any water still on or in the item. The juice flowing through wet traces shorts out and fries the unit, as you found out. Keep that in mind if it happens again.

No but my brother in law dropped his in the airplane toilet just before it took off. When he told the stewardess she told the pilot and they delayed the flight so maintenance could fish it out. the maintenance man came out with blue up to his elbow and tried to give my brother in law his phone back. Said B-I-L was really humiliated by the entire scene and generously let the maintenance man keep the phone.

I dropped mine in the tub. I never worked right at all after that. The rings sounded funny and I kept not getting calls. Had to replace it.

Yup. Fell out of my pocket as I was pulling up my pants (luckily there wasn't anything in there...one of those days!). I pulled the battery and let it sit for a few days put it back together, and it worked ok. Bat life was sharply decreased, but it worked.

I didn't, but my one-year-old did the day before I was going out to Arizona to buy our house! It just sat and vibrated on the edge of my bathtub. Cost me a hundred bucks to replace it!! Man, gotta love the little ones. =)
