HKR have been the best team in National League One this season but Leigh narrowly beat them in the Northern Rail Cup final. They should go up but it only takes one bad game in the playoffs to destroy a whole season. The question is- have HKR peaked too early in the season. Ideally as the Bradford Bulls showed last season it is best to play at the top of your game when the playoffs are approaching so that you take present form and confidence into them.
It would be good if they go up as a Hull derby has been missing from the top flight of rugby league in this country for some years now.
