3.532 * 10^ -4. Move the decmal point right. Until a non zero numbr is left of the decimal point. Count the number of spaces you moved the decimal point from it's original place. This is the power or exponent value you assign to the 10. If you move the deciaml point to the right. The exponent is negative. As in this case. If you move the decimal point to the left. It's a positive value.
