Yeah, it is very much possible to use solar power for home use. But also I think if the government changes their policy and settle the odd edges with the other politicians then these things wouldn't be that expensive for most citizens, and the government wouldn't have to steal it from others. And do you know that alchohol can be used as car fuel and alchohols can be cheaper then gas? Most of these advancement of technology has been implimented, but it became costly for the consumers later on only because of the government.

The US gov't *does* subsidize solar power.
Significant tax credits from the federal and many states governemnt are in place now for people to install solar electric and water systems.
Check with IRS publication 553 for changes, or consult your tax advisor.

People should start saving and get their own, I can't see the government doing anything that green, even though such a policy is long overdue (should have started in the 70's probably).

Subsidizing has to be a money making affair-they can't afford to invest in the infra structure,unless there's money to be made!

they already give tax breaks, do you expect them to pay for it all? and why not ask the energy companies to pay a share up front instead of paying you once you collect and sell the energy back to them?
