From my understanding it is not the time of year, but the time in your cycle that determines whether or not you concieve a boy or a girl. Sperm that are genetically male swim faster than thier female counter parts, but do not live as long. It has been stated that to concieve a boy it is better to have sex closer to the day of ovulation (the day you release an egg). Female sperm do not swim as fast, but survive longer than male sperm.

I think maybe right after winter, the first of spring. That way you can carry your baby in good weather and not risk slipping on ice and falling, possibly injuring the baby.
