It's true. Not just the song parodied for it on SNL (KidRock is right on with that one), but also Barry White's "Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Babe" - cowbell MAKES that song.

The Beastie Boys had it figured out, didn't they. Paul's Boutique didn't have many redeeming qualities, but they sure knew how to ring that funky bell. I also like a good old fashioned whistle (like a referee uses) in a song.
