I don't read the local newspaper because they're always like local versions of tabloids and they're always full of insignificant stories. Unfortunately my parents get the Shropshire Star *sighs*. A couple of weeks ago they were short of local news so 'four tennis rackets stolen from car' and 'fish stolen from pond' made the front page!
