Adkins diet and a lot of sit ups

Sit ups and crunches. Most peoples guts hang out because the muscles they have down there are too weak to hold it in the way it's supposed to.

Of course, if chunkiness is a problem throughout your body, then diet and exercise will also be needed to reduce the overall problem... but situps and crunches are decent exercises, so that would be a good place to start anyhow.

There is no such thing as spot reduction, which is losing fat in any one particular area. If you are huge and middle-aged, then you probably will never have a "flat" stomach without the help of abdominoplasty surgery, even if you lose all the weight and do a million sit-ups, because as you get older your skin loses elasticity. If you are young, like in your early twenties or teens, then you should be fine. Also, please know that if you are heavyset and you just do situps, your stomach will look a lot larger, because all you're doing is building the muscle UNDERNEATH the fat, pushing it further out. So avoid that too lol...
