How much methenol can regular passanger cars tolerate?

Not alot. All alcohol contains water, guess what that does to the fire of a gasoline explosion in the car. Why do you care, you know that alcohol can eat up the rubber parts right?

It is not the same as ethanol, which may already be in your gasoline up to 10%. Read the sign on the pump.
