I loved the 2004 version of Dawn of the Dead...it's one of my favorite movies but hated 2005's Land of the Dead. I'm no zombie movie expert but I do enjoy watching them!! Which ones are worth renting/buying and why???

Original Night of the Living Dead, not the remake. Original Dawn of the Dead is better than the remake. First Return of the Living Dead but the sequels get progressively worse. Italian movie called Zombie can't remember the director's name. 28 Days Later though not a living dead movie is along the same lines and I enjoyed it. As long as the zombies do not run and have to be killed with head shots, they stay true to form!

Depends if you like new school zombies, which are the ones that run and seem to retain human senses of sorts or if you like the old school original zombies like when George a Ramero created them. Anything originally done by Ramero will be good, otherwise try 28 days later

The old version of "Night of the Living Dead" was a classic.
