I get my teen daughter all flustered when I say something to her like "Are his rents going to be home?". She actually gets annoyed that I know the term for parents because she doesn't think I should know it.

Slang terms for police officers

1. Riff Raff: a north england term, mostly used by black people from Manchester, due to the police's link with racism
2. Bear: short for "Smokey the Bear" for the hats U.S. state police wear. "Bear bait" is a reference to speeders, who may draw the attention of the police and allow slightly slower traffic to exceed the speed limit in their wake.
3. Blue Meanies: this is a 1960s hippy slang term for the police, it was used in the Beatles film the Yellow Submarine, although many viewers may not have realised its significance.
4. Bluebottle: a British term for policeman that may have derived from Cockney rhyming slang, (see also Bottles).

9. Chronic: a type of marijuana usually smoked in the Western and Southwestern, United States.
10. Clucker: a crack-head or drug addict. Primarily used in the Midwest (Chicago), United States.
