Ok, look. All these people are right about reading the book. I'm going to be nice to you anyway and let you in on a little secret.

will have all the answers, and you can use it for future books too. But don't even TRY to plagiarize from it, ok? I've caught so many students doing that and they have been penalized big-time.

1. Theme: (There are actually lots) outsiders and how they should be excluded, danger of single parents (especially fathers), the weakness of girls, bravery in obvious places are a few to start with.

2. Author's message: that sometimes people just need to die (like Mrs. Dubose and Bob Ewell...maybe Tom Robinson, too). Another message is that childhood is full of misery and monsters.

3. The title, To Kill a Mockingbird refers to the message that sometimes it's necessary for annoying birds and people to die. Although that seems heartless, often it's better to sacrifice a few little things to make everyone else happier.

Good Luck!!

I agree with everyone that has posted so far. U should read the book yourself. It is a EXCELLENT book. The movie is great also. But in my opinion the book is better, because you can make your own visions of whats going on.

Read the book and do your own assignments. Its bad enough i have to pay for this shitty public education, i shouldnt have to educate you myself.

Besides all that, the movie is worth watching, and the book is quite interesting, both are timeless works of art and literature.

You should do your own homework. To Kill A Mockingbird is a pretty good book.

First of all, please just read this book. It's so important. And second of all, please disregard the answers Drusilla gave you. I'm sure her heart was in the right place, but I think she was way off base.
