everytime I shave her, I tend to break out. I can only shave once or twice a month because the bumps hurt so bad when I shave back over them. It's like razor burn, but bad. What can I use or put on them so that I can shave more often...

right after you get done shaving, with shaving cream, put Valoline(petrolem jelly) over the shaved area. it will stop razor burn before it starts.

Well I shave regularly and find that you probably need to use a fresh razor or at least one that you don't use on your legs and underarms. Use a nice moisturizing shave cream or moisturizing body wash and use a gentle hand! You may be shaving a little too "aggressively". Unlike your legs and underarms, try shaving in the same direction as the hair grows while pulling the skin tight. You are not going to get every single hair and it's never going to be smooth in both directions! If you're not as harsh you will soon be able to shave every day and then you will be consistently hair free!

You are wise not to re-shave already irritated skin. You might want to lightly massage a little antibiotic cream on any irritated spots you do get. I have pretty sensitive skin so I use a "scent free" light moisturizer like one you might put on your face.

It is razor burn, and yes it hurts! Your best bet is to use a moisturizing shave gel made especially for women. I find that trimming the hair first, then soaking in a warm tub for ten minutes prepares the area best for shaving (it softens the hair). Use a generous amount of gel and use a razor made especially for this area (they are usually much narrower) and take your time. Rinse well when finished, pat dry and use an after shave moisturizer like aloe gel or cocoa butter.

They make electric razors with tiny blades that trim very close to the skin. It is supposed to be painless but it does pull a little. Try a beard trimmer and just stay groomed if you can't find a way to get around the skin irritation. Your problem is mainly from shaving upward against the follicle, instead of downward in the direction of hair growth.

It def is Razor Burn my dear!
Always read the shaving cream before shaving down there...
sometime you have to buy the right one.

You may want to try shaving with soap or even soap, cream and lotion. Kind of crazy but it may help.

Dont try to shave in one spot too many times, help yourself by buying a good razor that will get you to shave the spot once or twice. Before shaving make sure you sit or soak in hott water to soften up your skin.

Remember.. dont use crappy razors or generic creams.
Wax is also good but painful and dont try to find your way out with Nair OR Veet that may cause bad rashes,,,

Enjoy my dear!!

okay this is going to sound so out of this world crazy but trust me it works. I have done it for years and never have i gotten razor burn or bumps on "my girl" After you shave put deodorant on her, yes you heard me I said deodorant. It will not harm you at all and it will stop the bumps and razor burn. Of course I suggest Having a separate one from the one you use on your underarms.

Don't shave against the growth of the hair- always go in the direction the hair is growing. I would suggest getting sugaring done. It is similar to waxing, but a much cleaner finish. Also, there are no bumps.

What I do is trim the longer hairs, then exfoilate to open up the pores to get rid of all the dead skin so it won't clog the pores creating thos red bumps then, ( I got this )I use electric razor somewhere for women (its purple & from conair for that area down there) and use that to shave off the excess hairs, then apply witch hazel to avoid getting any bumps works for me I hardley get any if u can't find witch hazel at your store buy it from ebay!!

Stop being silly and use the correct word. You shave your pubic area. Tried it once, didn't like the irritation, so I never did it again. The pubs aren't meant to be shaved. If you want to put up with it, though, try aloe jell after shaving.
